Marc Forster thinks Daniel Craig is the "best Bond" of all time.
Forster - who helmed the 2008 Bond movie 'Quantum of Solace' - has claimed Daniel has created the best version of the iconic secret agent, ahead of the likes of Sir Sean Connery and Sir Roger Moore.
The director, who's just finished making the new Amazon series 'Hand of God', told BANG Showbiz: "I don't want to be that actor who is filling his shoes, because I think it would be a very difficult task, because I think he has been, for me, the best Bond and he's just really special."
A number of big names have been linked to the coveted role, including Idris Elba, Eddie Redmayne and Damian Lewis, and earlier this week, Australian actor Hugh Jackman also admitted he would "seriously consider" playing the part.
Hugh, 46, said he was approached about taking on the role of the spy 10 years ago before Daniel Craig got the job.
He shared: "I sort of have [been asked]. At the time I was just about to do 'X-Men 2' and I was like, 'Ah, I don't think it's the right time'. But it was not an easy one to give up."
Season one of the Forster-directed Amazon original series 'Hand of God' is available to view on Prime Video now.
