Daniel Radcliffe believes that Potter fans may see him differently after watching his new movie The Woman In Black.
The actor is back on the big screen this week in his first post Potter role in which he plays a young father.
The movie is an adaptation of the Susan Hill novel and sees Radcliffe's character fear something from beyond the grave.
And Radcliffe says that this was a role that was so different to anything that he had done before and fans will stop looking at it as Harry Potter.
Speaking to The Press Association the actor said: "It was a great part and very different.
"I think this is the first step in the transition of me starting to move on and do other things and it's a really, really good first step and I'm really proud."
"People are going to stop thinking about Harry Potter pretty quickly when they see this film, even if they go in thinking, 'I want to see what Harry's up to now'."
The Woman In Black is directed by James Watkins and the script was adapted by Jane Goldman.
The film opened at number three in the U.S. and was the biggest opening for a Hammer movie ever.
The Woman In Black is released 10th February
