Dan Stevens is believed to be one of three actors in the running to land the lead role in the remake of Escape From New York.
The John Carpenter movie is set to get a new makeover, and the film is looking for the actor who can take over the role of Snake Plissken.
Kurt Russell took on the role in the 1981 sci-fi classic, but now Stevens, Charlie Hunnam and Jon Bernthal are all being considered.
Starlog have reported that Hunnam is the favourite to bag the role, and that the film is going to be a 'team based' adventure.
A source told the website: "Plissken’s team consists of Mina, a warzone journalist framed for murder and living in the shadows of New York as a scavenger; Cabbie, a schizophrenic travel guide who serves as comic relief; Gareth, the last surviving member of the President’s security detail who harbours a dangerous secret; and The Brain, Plissken’s former partner-in-crime who left him to die after a botched robbery."
When the film is going to start shooting or when the movies is going to be released is still unknown.
As for Stevens, he is back on the big screen this week as he leads the cast in thriller The Guest.
We are also going to be seeing him in A Walk Among The Tombstones and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.
