The Conjuring 2 is set to be released in U.S. on 23rd October 2015.
The Conjuring was one of the most successful horror movies of 2013 as the true story about Ed and Lorraine Warren was brought to the big screen.
Variety have reported that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be back as Ed and Lorraine Warren.
However, James Wan will not be in the director's chair this time around. A director is yet to be announced for the project.
Carey Hayes and Chad Hayes who penned 'The Conjuring' will work on the follow-up. Warner Bros. are set to be behind the film once again.
The Conjuring was released last summer and was both a critical and commercial hit.
The film went on to gross in excess of $318 million at the global box office - it is no surprise that a sequel is in the pipeline.
The plot is being kept under wraps at the moment. A UK release date has not yet been announced.
