Colin Farrell and Paula Patton are in talks to star in a 'World of Warcraft' movie.
The 'Total Recall' actor and '2 Guns' actress may take the lead roles in Legendary Pictures' adaptation of the popular medieval-themed video game, which will be directed by 'Moon' helmer Duncan Jones.
According to Deadline, Patton is currently in talks with the studio about a role in the flick, while Farrell has been offered a part. However, Jones is considering other stars for the roles, too.
The online roleplaying game launched in 2004 and allows gaming fans to play as werewolves, zombies, dragons and other mythical creatures.
Production will begin in January and the script will come from 'Blood Diamond' screenwriter Charles Leavitt.
The film is expected to be one of the first productions under Legendary Pictures' deal with Universal after the company ended its deal with Warner Bros.
Legendary and Warner Bros. collaborated on a slew of hit movies including 'The Dark Knight' trilogy, 'Inception', 'The Hangover' trilogy and the recently released 'Man of Steel'.
Farrell will next be seen in Walt Disney biopic 'Saving Mr. Banks' with Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson, and Patton - who is married to 'Blurred Lines' hitmaker Robin Thicke - recently starred with Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington in '2 Guns'.
