Cobie Smulders

Cobie Smulders has confirmed that she will be reprising the role of Maria Hill in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

We have seen Smulders as Agent Hill in TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. after the character was debuted in Avengers Assemble last summer.

And while Smulders says that she will be back, she admits she does not know how big a role she will play in the new film.

Speaking to Calgary Herald the actress said: "I think I'm in Avengers 2, but it is very top secret. I hope I'm in Avengers 2. I didn't get my invitation yet. Well, actually, they know I'm in it but they don't know to what degree I'm in it."

"I am really excited to read the script because they are introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the Avengers universe and the bad guy is going to be very interesting."

Filming on Age of Ultron will get underway next year as Joss Whedon returns to the director’s chair; he has also penned the screenplay.

Smulders will be reuniting with Robert Downey Jr, Scarlet Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner & Samuel L. Jackson as they reprise their roles as Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Hawkeye and Nick Fury.

There will be some new faces to watch out for as Aaron Taylor- Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen are on board as siblings Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, while James Spader has landed the role of Ultron.

As for Smulders, she has also completed work on Delivery Man, They Came Together and has lent her voice to The LEGO movie.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released
