Scarlett Johansson has been with the Marvel film series since her character was introduced in Iron Man 2. She has gone on to star in Avengers Assemble, Captain America: The Winter Solider, and Avengers: Age of Ultron and there have been calls for the character to get her own solo film.

Sadly, there doesn't look like there will be one in the pipeline anytime soon. Gregg - who play Agent Coulson - says that it would be a mistake for Marvel to miss this opportunity.

Speaking to Digital Spy, the actor said: "Black Widow has been around from day one of this..." he said. "...and is portrayed with this kind of heavy-hearted ferocity by Scarlett Johansson - who I think is as good as any actor working today.

"It seems like it would be tragic, it would be a waste, if that character wasn't given the spotlight in the way that some of the other characters have been.

"If I know Marvel, they won't let that happen, because she's too valuable an asset."?

Whether we see a solo Black Widow movie or not remains to be seen, we will see Johansson reprise the role of Black Widow later this year in Captain America: Civil War - her second Captain America solo film.

Black Widow is not the only character that fans are calling on to get their own solo film, as they also want to see Marl Ruffalo's Hulk get the spotlight. However, we are going to see Hulk appear in Thor: Ragnarok - the first time he has been in a movie outside the Avengers franchise.

As for Gregg, we haven't seen him in a Marvel film since Avengers Assemble but he has been playing Agent Coulson on the small screen in TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Captain America: Civil War will kick of Phase 3 of Marvel movies as they start to build up to the epic two-part conclusion in Avengers: Infinity War.
