Christopher Plummer thanked for everyone involved in Beginners after receiving an Oscar nomination.
The British star picked up a Best Supporting Actor for his role in the Mike Mills directed movie.
The nomination comes hot off the heels of his Golden Globe win last week.
Speaking to MTV News the actor said: "It's a shot in the arm for a young kid of 82 to receive an Academy Award nomination this morning.
"My gratitude to writer/director Michael Mills, the Academy and to everyone involved with 'Beginners.'"
Plummer picked up his first Oscar nomination just two years ago for his performance in The Last Station.
We say Plummer in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo over the Christmas period and he has been linked to Five Good Years.
