Christoph Waltz has revealed that he did not have to audition for his role in Spectre.

Waltz is set to take on the role of villain Franz Oberhauser in the upcoming Bond film, which will see him join the franchise for the first time.
The double Oscar winner is the most exciting new addition to the cast list and says that the director had had him in mind for the role.
Speaking to GQ magazine, Waltz said: This time I didn't have to audition. For 'Spectre' they already had me in mind.
"In a way, yes [they wrote it for me]. Let's say it was tweaked in my direction."
And while Spectre will see Waltz step into a big budget blockbuster, the actor says that a project like this really can be 'artistically fulfilling.'
He continued: "A James Bond film can be artistically fulfilling. Absolutely it can. It can be complex and it can be interesting. I consider Bond movies to be an extension of popular theatre, a kind of modern mythology. You see the same sort of action in 'Punch and Judy', or in the folk theatre of various cultures, like Grand Guignol."
Rumours have been swirling that Waltz is in fact set to play iconic villain Blofeld in the new film, but the actor has denied all of the talk.
The movie will see Waltz team up with filmmaker Sam Mendes for the first time, as he returns to direct his second consecutive Bond Film.
Spectre will be the fourth Bond outing for Daniel Craig, while Monica Bellucci, Léa Seydoux, Dave Bautista, and Andrew Scott will be joining Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, and Naomie Harris on the cast list.
As for Waltz, we have not seen him on the big screen since the release of Big Eyes, but he has also completed work on Tulip Fever and Tarzan.
Spectre is released 23rd October.
