Chris Pratt says he thinks Vin Diesel is going to be great as Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy because his voice is an 'incredible tool'
Diesel was one of the late additions to the Guardians of the Galaxy cast list and will lend his voice to the project.
Pratt is an actor who has been attached to the Marvel film for a long time, and will play Peter Quill in the film. And the actor says that Diesel is going to be great in the film.
Speaking to IAmRogue the actor said: "Dude, I think Vin Diesel is going to be great. The role of Groot is also an amazing role.
"I want to tell you about it but I feel like if I tell you even one little thing it’s going to start pulling the thread that is going to expose too much. But I think Vin is going to be amazing.
"Vin Diesel’s voice is an incredible tool that he has. I’ve watched a couple of his movies now that I knew that he was going to be cast as Groot.
"Just like listening to his voice... when you think of Vin Diesel you think of the look. You think of that Diesel look... Dom, xXx, the buff and all that stuff. But truly his greatest talent is his voice, I think."
Next summer will see Guardians of the Galaxy come to the big screen for the first time as Marvel launch a new franchise in the middle of Phase Two of films.
Pratt and Diesel are joined on the cast list by Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Lee Pace, Benicio Del Toro, Glenn Close and John C. Reilly.
