Chris Hemsworth has revealed that there is going to be a different tone to Thor: Ragnarok.
Hemsworth is set to reprise the title role in what will be the third standalone film for the character and the first time we have seen him in this role since the success of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
While Hemsworth didn't give too much away about the plot, he hinted that we are going to see a very different Thor and Loki and the film will experience 'another world.'
Speaking about the film at a panel at Wizard World Philadelphia, the actor said: "Man, it is a lot of fun. I think tonally it's a big shift in a great way, more than anything we've seen before. Taika Waititi, the director, if you know any of his work, he's just an incredible sort of comedic talent a lot of heart in everything he does.
"It's a very different Thor, it's a different Loki; we go off on another world that we haven't experienced before. It's fun, but that's me skirting around the issue because I can't say too much."
Filming is set to get underway later this year and will see Hemsworth reunite with Tom Hiddleston. Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins are some of the other familiar faces on the cast list.
Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, and Jeff Goldblum step into the Marvel world for the first time and take on the roles of Hela, Skurge, and Grandmaster.
We are also going to see Mark Ruffalo reprise the role of Bruce Banner as he steps out of the Avengers franchise for the very first timer.
This will also be the first Marvel film for director Taika Waititi, who has brought us movies such as Eagle v Shark and Boy during his career.
As for Hemsworth, he will be back on the big screen this summer as he stars alongside Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig in Ghostbusters, which will be directed by Paul Feig.
Thor: Ragnarok is released 27th October.
