Chris Hemsworth has been linked to a role in the remake of Lethal Weapon.
Hemsworth has been offered a starring role in the film, according to Tracking Board.
Justin Lin - who directed a series of films in the Fast & Furious franchise - has been linked to the director's chair.
Will Beall is said to be working on the current version of the script, although reports suggest that Shane Black - who penned the original films - has been offering advice on what direction the film should take.
There has been plenty of talk of a possible fifth instalment of the Lethal Weapon franchise in recent years - however it is not yet clear if this will follow on from the previous films, or be something new.
However, the current script reportedly involves the son of an elderly police man, believed to be based on Gibson's character, who wants to join the police force.
Lethal Weapon first hit the big screen back in 1987, starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. Sequels followed in 1989, 1992 and 1998.
As for Hemsworth, he is currently filming Avengers: Age of Ultron - which will see him reprise the role of Thor.
He has also completed work on Cyber and Heart of the Sea: a film that will reunite him with director Ron Howard.
