Chris Evans says he will be returning to the director’s chair in August, and he is looking for the right project.

Evans made his directorial debut last year with 1:30 Train: a film that he stars is as well as directs. This could be a film that we see on the festival circuit later this year.

And the actor reveals that he is already on the hunt for a new directing project after he finishes work on Avenger: Age of Ultron.

Speaking to Collider, he said: “I will do another movie in August and I just don’ know what it is yet.

Yeah, I got a couple that I’m reading and I told my team just send me everything.

“Because I’ve got the whole movie of Avengers, I’m literally going to London and I’m just going to be reading scripts. I’m going to find something else and I’m going to do it.”

Evans will be reprising the role of Captain America in the second Avengers film, as he reunites with Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner.

Joss Whedon is back in the director’s chair, and filming is already underway on the highly anticipated sequel.

Speaking to Captain America, the second stand-alone film The Winter Solider is currently top of the U.S. box office, having broken April records over the weekend.

We are also set to see the actor lead an all-star cast in Snowpiercer, which will hopefully be released later this year. A UK release date has yet to be announced.
