Evans plays Steve Rodgers for the first time back in 2011 in Captain America: The First Avenger, and has since starred in Avengers Assemble and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, both of which enjoyed big box office success.

He is set to reprise the role later this year with Avengers: Age of Ultron and he admits that the more he plays this character the more comfortable he feels.

When asked about how comfortable he now feels in the role by Collider, Evans said: "Very comfortable. You know, the first movie you're terrified.

"The second one you're just, intimidated because there's so many great people but by 'Winter Soldier' is when you really start kind of hitting your stride and feeling like you're making some core progress with the character and you get a little more comfortable speaking up when you have opinions."

Age of Ultron is the second Avengers film for Evans and comes three years after the billion dollar success of Avengers Assemble. The movie will see him reunite with Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner.

Events of Age of Ultron will set up events in Captain America: Civil War - the third solo movie for the popular character - which will hit the big screen next year.

The movie will see Anthony and Joe Russo back in the director's chair, while Downey Jr, Johansson, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will all also be on the cast list.

Away from Marvel, Evans is also set to make his feature film directorial debut this year with Before We Go, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is released 23rd April.
