Robert Osman and Nathanael Wiseman are set to make their feature film directorial debuts as they team up for new indie film Hard Tide.
As well as being in the director's chair, the duo has also penned the screenplay, which sees a small time criminal go on the run with a neglected nine-year-old girl.
As if writing and directing Hard Tide was not enough, Wiseman will also take on the central role of Jake while Mem Ferda, Alexandra Newick, Oliver Stark, Katarina Gellin, and Ralph Brown are also on the cast list.
We still have a few weeks to wait until the release of Hard Tide - which is promising to be one of the April indie films not to miss - but we have some great new images for you to take a look at:
On the eve of a drugs war, a small-time criminal is forced to go on the run with a neglected nine-year-old girl after a fatal accident. Hard Tide tells the incredible true story of Jake (Nathanael Wiseman) a small time dealer, grown up in the care system in an impoverished English coastal town.
As a turf war brews around him, his world is thrown into complete chaos when he inadvertently befriends a neglected 9-year-old girl, Jade, (Alexandra Newick) and takes her home out of harm's way. A fight erupts between Jake and her volatile alcoholic father resulting in the dad's accidental death.
Fearing that the authorities won't believe him and not wanting Jade to follow in his footsteps by entering the care system, Jake decides to try and look after the girl by himself. But can a criminal from the bottom rung of society's ladder ever do the right thing in the eyes of authority?
Hard Tide is a thriller drama with a big heart about the courage people can find in the most difficult of circumstances and the transformative decisions we make.
Hard Tide is released 29th April and on home release on 9th May.
