We have already seen one X-Men: Apocalypse poster featuring the film's villains this week... now this brand new piece of artwork sees the heroes take centre stage.
The poster is titled 'defend' and sees Jennifer Lawrence and a bald James McAvoy leading the way as they reprise their roles as Mystique and Charles Xavier.
Nicholas Hoult and Evan Peters are also back as Beast and Quicksilver while we also get a good look at Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Nightcrawler.
Turner, Sheridan and Smit-McPhee are three of the exciting new additions to the cast list and I am looking forward to seeing them play the younger versions of characters that we already know well.
X-Men: Apocalypse is the first X-Men movie since the success of X-Men: Days of Future Past back in 2014. Bryan Singer is back in the director's chair and this promises to be the biggest X-Men movie yet.
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.
As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
X-Men: Apocalypse is released 18th May.
