Charlize Theron says that she would 'love' to reprise the role of Furiosa in a future Mad Max film.
Mad Max: Fury Road hit the big screen last year and was one of the most acclaimed movies of 2016. The Oscar winner received particular praise for her ass-kicking and no-nonsense portrayal of Furiosa - one of the best female film characters of last year.
While there has been a lot of talk about a possible Mad Max sequel it appeared that we may not see Furiosa back. However, Theron has revealed that she would love to return to this character.
Speaking to MTV about a possible return, Theron said: "I would love to bring her back to life, are you kidding?... To have people react to something like that where you went and worked your balls off (laughs), it's really, really nice, it kind of just puts everything into perspective.
"I can see how people are responding to her and I look at my little girl and I'm like, 'Yeah I'd love to play this woman again, definitely.'"
Mad Max: Fury Road saw George Miller - who directed the original films - return to the director's chair. The movie went on to gross over $378 million, was met with critical acclaim, and went on to be nominated for ten Oscars - including Best Picture and Best Director.
While Tom Hardy has already revealed that he has signed up for multi Mad Max movies, Miller hinted earlier this year that he would not return to the franchise to direct.
It remains unclear as to whether we will see a Mad Max sequel, but I would love to see Theron and Hardy reunite as I was a huge fan of the 2015 film.
It has been a busy week for Theron as it has been announced that she is set to play the villain in Fast & Furious 8, which would see her star alongside Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson.
The actress is currently top of the UK box office with The Huntsman: Winter's War, which sees her reprise the role of Ravenna. She has also completed work on The Last Face, and The Coldest City.
She is currently film American Express with Amanda Seyfried, Joel Egerton, Kenneth Choi, Thandie Newton, and David Oyelowo.
