Charlie Hunnam says he is taking his Fifty Shades of Grey role very seriously, and intends to explore the character of Christian Grey.
It was revealed last money that Hunnam would take on the role of Grey in the big screen adaptation of the popular book: a movie that will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.
And the actor admits that there is a lot of pressure that comes with taking on this role.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly the actor said: "There are so many fans of that book and I know that on the surface, I'm probably not what everybody imagined.
"Because reading is so personal and people bring a character to life in their imagination, they feel ownership over that character."
"[The pressure is] daunting if I allowed myself to think about it too much.
"I'm taking it very seriously and intend to explore the nature of who this character is, what motivates him - and also dress up nice and look good in those suits."
Dakota Johnson will take on the role of Anastasia Steele in the film, and it was revealed this week that Jennifer Ehle will also be joining the cast list.
Hunnam has enjoyed box office success this year having lead an all star cast in Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim.
