Charlie Hunnam says he is excited that he has built up a good relationship with Guillermo Del Toro and he is looking forward to working with the director again.
Hunnam will be on the big screen this week as he stars in Pacific Rim, the first Del Toro directed movie since 2010.
And the actor has revealed that he is now in Del Toro's 'crew' and the director has expressed a desire to work with him on future films.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "I'm so excited - I always dreamed of having a great collaboration with a filmmaker before. I grew up watching a lot of filmmakers that I love working with the same actors over and over.
"And at the end of this film Guillermo expressed that he really enjoyed working with me and I to him and he said, 'No, no really I want you in my crew from now on. I want you to be in all of my movies!'
"Obviously it really touched my heart but I didn't expect to get a call three months later.
"But the phone rang and he said, 'Alright man I'm true to my word. I've got another movie and I want you to star."
And that movie will be Crimson Peak - which is set for a 2015 released. The film will see Hunnam team up with Benedict Cumberbatch and Jessica Chastain.
Pacific Rim is released 12th July.
