Charlie Cox has revealed that he would love to reprise the role of Daredevil in Captain America: Civil War.
Cox has taken over the role of Matt Murdock aka Daredevil in the new Netflix series, and does appear in the Civil War comics.
However, the actor says that he has not bee asked to appear in the film - but would love the chance to step into that franchise.
Speaking to IGN, the actor said: "I've been reading Civil War - and Daredevil does appear in that. Just to clarify - I have not been called about that. I haven't been invited to that party!" he added.
"But it would be very, very cool. Just to be in the background, saying cool stuff every now and then. It would be cool to be with all those guys."
Cox has followed in the footsteps of Ben Affleck by taking on the role of Daredevil, which has been brought to the small screen for the first time by show creator Drew Goddard.
Cox has moved between television and film roles throughout his career with the likes of the Theory of Everything, Stardust, and Boardwalk Empire under his belt. However, Daredevil is one of the biggest roles of his career to date.
Filming is about to get underway on Civil War, which will be the third solo film for Captain America and will see Chris Evans back in the title role.
Cox may not be on the cast list, but the film will see Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprise their roles as Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, The Falcon, and Winter Soldier.
We are also going to be introduced to the character of Black Panther - as Chadwick Boseman is set to make an appearance before heading into his own solo movie.
Civil War is based on the popular comic story and is already one of the most anticipated superhero films of 2016. The movie will see Anthony and Joe Russo back in the director's chair as they return to the franchise after the success of The Winter Soldier last year.
Captain America: Civil War is released 29th April 2016.
