Chappie is one of the science fiction films I am looking forward the most in 2015, as it marks the return of Neill Blomkamp to the director's chair.
Blomkamp has already been behind movies District 9 and Elysium, and Chappie will mark the third feature film of his directing career - I really am excited to see what he delivers this time around.
As well as being in the director's chair, Blomkamp has teamed up with Terri Tatchell to pen the screenplay. This is the second feature film collaboration between the pair as they teamed up to pen District 9.
And he has assembled another terrific cast list as Dev Patel, Hugh Jackman, Sigourney Weaver will also star, while Sharlto Copley will bring the character of Chappie to life.
Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings - some good, some bad - and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man.
But there's one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is a robot. The first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. His life, his story, will change the way the world looks at robots and humans forever.
