Channing Tatum says that he is trying to talk Steven Soderbergh into directing the sequel to Magic Mike.
Magic Mike saw Tatum team up with Soderbergh for the second time last year and the film was a big success when it hit the big screen.
Since it's release there has been much talk of a second film and it seems that it could be going ahead if they can get Soderbergh on board.
Speaking to Access Hollywood the actor said: "We have to talk Soderbergh into it. We can't do it without our general," the actor declared.
"It's scary. I don't know what's going to happen. Hopefully we're gonna go to Miami and do the whole thing."
Magic Mike was loosely based on Tatum's time as a stripper before he was an actor and saw Tatum, Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer on the cast list.
Since Magic Mike, Tatum and Soderbergh have worked together on another project in the form of Side Effects.
However Soderbergh has been talking about retiring from filmmaking this year after he turned fifty in January.
