Cate Blanchett has limited the movie roles she takes on for her children's benefit.

Blanchett - who has sons Roman, Dashiell, Ignatius and adopted daughter Edith with her husband Andrew Upton - says the only reason she was able to film her latest movie 'Truth' was because they relocated the American-set flick to Sydney, Austrailia, which is closer to her hometown of Melbourne.
She said: "What prevents me from picking and choosing is my geographical location and my desire not to have someone else raise my children."
Cate - who plays journalist Mary Mapes in 'Truth' - was "thrilled" they were able to shoot the movie in her home country because she was so taken back by the "gripping" and "shocking" script when she read it.
She told The Daily Telegraph newspaper: "Most of the film happens in interiors, so we ran the numbers and it was possible for it to be filmed in Sydney - which I was really thrilled about because it meant I could do it. I read the script and found it gripping, shocking, surprising and really fascinating."
The movie, which is set in 2004, is about an award-winning reporter called Mary Mapes [Blanchett] who is part of a team on CBS News who put together a piece on the president George W Bush and his record with conflict, which subsequently results in Mary losing her job.
And what drew Cate to the role was the questions the film raised about media in the western world and the reporting on Bush, as well, as meeting Mary herself.
She added: "It was the questions that the film was asking that I was primarily interested in - and then I met Mary, an di found her completely compelling, hilarious and wry."
