Bruce Dern has revealed that he has met with Quentin Tarantino to discuss a film project.
Tarantino is set to return to the director’s chair with a new Western called The Hateful Eight, and we could well be seeing Dern on the cast list.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actor said: “We had a conversation. I mean, he hasn't hired me yet or anything. But we had a conversation about the material, yes we did."
The Hateful Eight looks set to see Tarantino reunite with Christoph Waltz, who he has worked with on Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained; this will be Tarantinno’s first film since the success of Django Unchained.
Dern was last seen on the big screen in Nebraska - a role which has seen his receive critical acclaim and a string of awards.
Dern picked up a Best Actor Oscar nod when the nominations were announced earlier this week. This is a second Oscar nomination for the actor; he picked up his first in 1978 for his supporting performance in Coming Home.
He was nominated alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey and Christian Bale.
