My deepest thanks to the HFPA - I am beyond honoured, grateful, thrilled and every other imaginable emotion to be in the company of such an inspirational group of women, and to share this morning's recognition with Emma, Lenny, the entire cast and crew of Room, as well as Amy Schumer and the cast and crew of Trainwreck.
"What a morning! And thanks to Jacob Tremblay - you have made every day of this journey magic."
Room picked up three nominations, including Best Motion Picture - Drama and Best Screenplay for Emma Donoghue; who has adapted her own novel into a script.

Larson takes on the role of Ma and Jacob Tremblay the role of Jack. The duo is joined on the cast list by Sean Bridgers, Joan Allen, and William H. Macy.
Larson has a very busy 2016 ahead of her as she has already completed work on Basmati Blues and Free Fire. She is currently filming Kong: Skull Island alongside Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, and Toby Kebbell.
