Bridge of Spies is a movie that I have been looking forward to for some time as it sees Tom Hanks reunite with filmmaker Steven Spielberg.
Hanks and Spielberg have worked together on some terrific war projects over the years - both for television and the big screen - and Bridge of Spies sees them delve into the Cold War for the first time.
Hanks is set to take on the central and real-life role of James Donovan and the double Oscar winner takes centre stage in the brand new poster for the film.
As you may expect, Spielberg has assembled a terrific cast as Mark Rylance, Amy Ryan, and Alan Alda have all joined Hanks on the cast list.
It is always great when a Spielberg movie is on the horizon and Bridge of Spies is his first directorial outing since he enjoyed critical acclaim and awards success with biopic Lincoln back in 2013.
Bridge Of Spies is a dramatic thriller which tells the story of James Donovan (Hanks), a Brooklyn insurance claims lawyer who finds himself thrust into the centre of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot.
I am a huge fan of Hanks and Spielberg and they have delivered the likes of Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers over the years - if you haven't seen the film and the TV series then you really should check it out.
It is always great to see them back together again and it is the first film project for the duo since The Terminal back in 2004 - hard to believe that this movie is already over ten years old.
Bridge of Spies is one of the autumn movies that is already surrounded in early Oscar whispers and is being tipped as a possible Best Picture contender.
Bridge of Spies is released 27th November
