Brenton Thwaites will star in zombie movie 'Office Uprising'.
Thwaites - who was last seen in Helen Hunt's 'Ride' - has signed up to the Steven C. Miller-directed horror comedy as a lazy office worker who accidentally poisons his colleagues at the arms manufacturing company where he works.
The Ian Shorr and Peter Gamble scripted film sees the slacker turn his corporate drone colleagues into the brain-eating undead.
He's then reluctantly forced to fix the disaster he caused and save his friends within the company compound.
The movie will be produced by The Exchange and boss Brian O'Shea is delighted to get the 26-year-old Australian actor on board the project.
He said: "We are truly excited to have cast Brenton. (He's) a sensational, versatile young leading man who will hit the comedic notes and sell the action."
Brenton is familiar with the horror genre after starring in 'Oculus' and has also appeared in Disney's 'Maleficent' - which starred Angelina Jolie - and sci-fi flicks 'The Signal' and 'The Giver'.
He'll be seen next in 'Gods Of Egypt' - which stars Gerrard Butler - which is out in the UK on February 26 and Brenton has also been cast in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales'.
