Brand New U is set to receive its World Premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival later today and is set to be one of the movies that is not to be missed this weekend.
Brand New U marks the return of Simon Pummell to the director's chair as he makes the leap from documentaries to live action drama for the very first time.
Ahead of the film's world premiere later today, we have the brand new teaser trailer and some great images for you to take a look at:
Pummell has been behind documentaries such as Shock Head Soul and Bodysong during his career, but Brand New U will see him show off a very different side to himself as a filmmaker as well as a writer.
Brand New U sees Lachlan Nieboer and Nora-Jane Noone star in the central roles of Slater and Nadia and they are joined on the cast list by Nick Blood, Tony way, and Ryan Calais Cameron.
As well as receiving its World Premiere at the festival, Brand New U has also been nominated for the Michael Powell Award
Brand New-U follows a man (Slater) as he is brutally forced to move through a series of parallel lives. He becomes more and more obsessed as he tries to find the lover he lost, but what he must find in the end is himself.
The organisation BRAND NEW-U identifies networks of Identicals - 'people who walk like you, talk like you, but are walking through different, better lives' - and helps their customers make a life upgrade: eliminating the Better-Life donor, and relocating their client to that Brand New life. But errors can occur, and a Brand New life can cost more than expected.
