This year (2021), streaming services are really kicking it up a notch with their content. Platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and, of course, Apple TV+ are treating us with some amazing releases, including upcoming feature film, Swan Song.
Today (November 4th, 2021), Apple TV+ revealed the brand-new trailer for Swan Song, a movie that is set to have a deep, emotional story and boasts a brilliant all-star cast that includes Mahershala Ali (Luke Cage), Glenn Close (Guardians of the Galaxy), Naomie Harris (Rampage, James Bond franchise) with Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) and Adam Beach (Suicide Squad).
Set in the not-too-distant future, Swan Song is a powerful, emotional journey told through Cameron’s (Ali) point of view; he is a doting husband and father who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness.
He is faced with an alternative solution to his problems by his doctor (Close), in order to shield his family from the undoubtable grief of his passing.
As Cameron tries to make the choice about whether or not to alter the fate of his family, he learns more about life, love and passion than he ever thought he would.
Swan Song seeks to find out how far we will go, and how much we are willing to give up to make a happier life for the people we love, for those we may have to leave behind.
The brand-new trailer for this movie really showcases the emotions the full feature will be dealing with. The music is slow and low, allowing for concern, worry and sadness to fill the room instead.
The beauty of love and the harshness of loss blend together in this stunning trailer, and the narrative is given life and meaning through this short clip that shows us how significant time really is.
The trailer also shows us the outstanding cinematography and hits of the dialogue and acting from the cast; it seems there will be deep rooted emotions, hard choices and genuine pain felt by the characters. This film will no doubt will be a hit on the day of release.
Swan Song will debut on Apple TV+ on December 17th, 2021.
