Since Halloween 2021 has passed, Christmas has begun to sneak its way into our daily lives. There are festive decorations on the shelves in shops, and holiday music is whispering in our ears. In light of this, check out the trailer and first-look image for Roku’s first feature film, Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas.
The upcoming TV movie is based on continuing the story of the Emmy award-winning show, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, and will be available on Roku, Sky Q, and NOW this December (2021); just in time for the festive season!
Roku is the home of free and premium entertainment that offers a brilliant selection of content, including Roku Originals. Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas follows Zoey (Jane Levy), a young woman who faces her first Christmas without her father. She seeks to create a wonderful, magical holiday for her family, just like Mitch (Peter Gallagher) used to.
The trailer for Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas showcases a fun and charming musical movie, as Zoey bears the singing of her friend, Mo (Alex Newell).
The brand-new trailer also highlights Newell’s singing talent, as she belts out a powerful rendition of It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year in the middle of a shopping centre; if this performance is anything to go off, this upcoming festive film will definitely make it onto the watchlists of audience quite quickly.
“It was a true honor and thrill to bring this amazingly talented group of people back to make Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas,” says Creator Austin Winsberg. “This movie never would have happened if it wasn’t for this incredible outpouring of love and support from the fans.
“It really is a Christmas gift for all of us.” Continues Winsberg, “I am so grateful to The Roku Channel for believing in the whole Zoey’s team and for allowing us to continue to tell this story.”
Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas will be available to watch on Roku, Sky Q, and NOW from December 1st, 2021.
