Bradley Cooper has been linked to the big screen adaptation of crime novel American Blood.
The book will not be released until the back end of 2015, but The Hollywood Reporter have revealed that warner Bros have already snapped up the rights.
The movie would see Cooper take on the central role of a New York police officer turned mob informant, as well as produce the film.
No director is currently on board the film, but Andrew Sodroski is set to adapt the novel into a screenplay.
Cooper already has executive producer credits for American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook, The Words and Limitless under his belt.
This new producing role would see him work alongside John Lesher, Adam Kassan, Brendan Deneen and Pouya Shabazian.
Cooper has already been enjoying huge film success this year with American Hustle - a film that sees him reunite with director David O. Russell.
He has picked up a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination; his second Oscar nod in as many years.
And that success is set to continue as he is part of the all star cast of Guardians of the Galaxy.
He has also completed work on Serena and an as yet untitled Cameron Crowe project.
