We may get the next Bond movie within the next three year according to MGM CEO Gary Barber.
There has been plenty of talk about Bond 24 after the mammoth success of Skyfall last year.
The movie grossed over $1 billion at the global box office and has picked up a string of awards and nominations.
Work on the script for Bond 24 is already underway and Barber admits that they don't want to hang about.
Speaking to Reuters he said: "We are currently developing the screenplay and working with our partners.
"We look forward to developing the script soon and signing a director. We are hoping within the next 3 years it will be released."
However Bond 24 was dealt a bit of a blow earlier this month when Sam Mendes announced that he would not be returning to the director's chair.
Mendes steered Skyfall to become the most successful Bond movie of all time - both critically and commercially - and it was expected that he would return for a second film.
The search for a director is under way and Barber says that an announcement is not far away.
Bond 24 will see Daniel Craig return to the role of 007 in what would be his fourth film in the franchise.
