Billy Elliot: The Musical has fought off all the competition to top the UK box office.
The Billy Elliot stage show has been brought to the big screen, and has proved to be a huge success this weekend.
The movie took over £1.9 million to see off the tough challenge from The Equalizer.
The Equalizer marks the return of Denzel Washington to the big screen, but the action flick had to settle for second place.
The Boxtrolls failed to hold on to the #1 spot this week as it dropped two places from one to three.
What We Did On Our Holiday was the third and final new entry inside the top ten this week at four, while A Walk Among The Tombstones was down three at five.
Pride fell out of the top five this week, as it dropped from three to six. There was also a three place from for Lucy at seven.
Guardians of the Galaxy was down one at eight, while The Riot Club was one of two four place fallers this week; the movie dropped from five to nine.
Sex Tape also fell four places as it rounded off the top ten.
