Billy Crystal says he had a great time working on Monsters University and hints that the artwork for the film is ‘astounding’.
It was back in 2001 that we were introduced to the characters of Mike Wazowski and James P Sullivan for the first time and Crystal will be voicing the character of Mike once again.
Crystal will team up John Goodman for a second time as the movie follows their university days when these two characters were the not the good friends that we remember.
Speaking to Total Film the actor said: Phenomenal. Brilliant. It’s a prequel. We’re 18 years old. F***ing Pixar people, we look younger. It’s a subtle thing, but we look younger, we sound appropriate I wear a retainer on my teeth.
“And it’s all about how they train to be scary and how they develop their skills as Scarers. The movie brings us up to where we find them in the first movie. The artwork is astounding.”
Steve Buscemi is also back as Randall Boggs while Helen Mirren, Charlie Day and Alfred Molina are some of the exciting new additions.
Monsters University is released 12th July.
