Bill Nighy

Bill Nighy is not "built for vests".

The 'About Time' actor - famed for his wiry frame - found it very "unsettling" wearing just an undershirt when he got his first ever acting job, as a bodyguard in an adaptation of 'The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore' by Tennessee Williams.

He said: "I had to wear a vest, it was very unsettling. I am not built for vests."

Bill, now 63, also admits to nerves when he realised how much people were paying to see him perform.

He added to Tatler magazine: "I remember I took a shortcut past the box office to get to my room and saw the prices on the tickets, £2.50. It made me feel slightly sick to think that people were going to pay money to see me act."

Bill also hates seeing himself on screen and never watches his performances back if he can help it.

He said: "When I do [see myself] I always think 'Oh no!' To me it always looks incredibly contrived. I think, 'Oh God, why couldn't you just be normal? Why'd you have to do that? Just relax."
