Benedict Cumberbatch has admitted that he would love to take on an action role if the right part came along.
Since taking on the role of Sherlock Holmes the actor has seen his star rocket with roles in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and War Horse over the last twelve months.
But Cumberbatch, who is set to play the villain in the Star Trek sequel, says that the action genre is not our of the question.
Speaking to BBC Newsbeat he said: "I wouldn't turn my nose up at an action film. I love the idea of getting involved.
"I love the Bonds, and Bourne as well. They're both fantastic franchises and that would be great fun."
It is not yet known which Star Trek villain he is set to play in the J.J. Abrams movie.
However he will be voicing the role of Smaug in The Hobbit: There and Back Again.
