Ben Foster has revealed that he will be playing a sorcerer in new film Warcraft.
Warcraft is based on the popular computer game, and sees Foster star alongside Paula Patton, Dominic Cooper, and Toby Kebbell.
Speaking to IGN, the actor talks about his role in the film: "The character in Warcraft that I play is named Medivh. He's a mage, which is essentially a sorcerer.
"He came up in a time protecting an area, and the way he protected this area was through magic. As peace returned to this land he took a break.
"He hung up his staff, so to speak, or let his guns get dusty. We meet him as his friends are returning asking for his help in a battle."
It was announced by director Duncan Jones last week that filming on Warcraft had wrapped and will now go into post production.
Warcraft will be just the third feature film for director Jones - Moon & Source Code being his first two projects - as he teams up with Foster for the first time.
We haven't seen Foster on the big screen since the success of Lone Survivor, but he has already completed a Lance Armstrong biopic: he will take on the role of the cyclist.
Warcraft is released 11th March 2016.
