Ben Affleck reveals that he spent a lot of time in the gym getting physically ready for the role of Batman.
Affleck is currently filming Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and it will be the first time that we have seen him play Bruce Wayne.
And Affleck believe that it is the actor's responsibility to get into the necessary shape for a part.
Speaking to EW, the actor said: "It's a process that I'll probably have better perspective on when I'm done.
"I can tell you that every time I do a role, it's the responsibility of an actor to get their physical self as close to the role as possible," he explained.
"And Batman's obviously got a set of expectations that are tough. So I spent a lot of time working out.
"And it's a far cry from Gone Girl where my character is described as 'puffy and hungover'. I want you to know I worked equally hard at both!"
Dawn of Justice will see Affleck team up with Henry Cavill - who is back as Superman - while Zack Snyder is in the director's chair.
Affleck will be back on the big screen this autumn with the adaptation of Gone Girl: a movie that sees him work with director David Fincher for the first time.
Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice is released 29th April 2016.
