When it was revealed a film based on the Baywatch franchise would be coming to the big screen, not many people knew what to expect. If Zac Efron and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson taking down a crime syndicate to save the Bay was top of anybody’s mind, we’d be very shocked, but here we are with that very plot set to light up movie theatres at the end of this month. Promising heaps of chaos and bundles of laughs, Paramount Pictures have today released a new action-focused featurette and clip from the film, which you can check out below:
In Baywatch, Johnson plays devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchannon who’s forced to train up a brash new recruit (Efron). Whilst the two don’t immediately become the best of friends, the journey they go on together will unite them forever, but will they be able to stop the Bay from falling into the wrong hands?
Priyanka Chopra, Alexandra Daddario, Jon Bass, Kelly Rohrback and Ilfenesh Hadera also star, with guest appearances expected from Baywatch TV series originals David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson.
