Batman vs. Superman has been pushed back twelve months to 2016.
Batman vs. Superman is the sequel to last summer’s Man of Steel and will see Zack Snyder return to the director’s chair.
The film was due to be released in the summer of 2015, but now we are going to have to wait an extra twelve months.
Warner Bros made the announcement of the delay saying that the delay would give “the filmmakers time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story.
“The decision was made following the shift of the start of production to second quarter of this year.”
Batman vs. Superman will see Henry Cavill return to the role of Clark Kent, while Ben Affleck will be introduced as Bruce Wayne.
The movie will be the first time that we have seen Batman on the big screen since the success of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.
Gal Gadot is also on board the film as Wonder Woman, while Amy Adams will also be returning as Lois Lane.
