Bad Grandpa has ended Gravity's three week reign at the top of the U.S. box office.
Bad Grandpa sees funnyman Johnny Knoxville return to the big screen as he dresses up as an 86 year old man and goes on a road-trip with his 'grandson'.
The movie grossed $32 million in its opening weekend to nudge Gravity into the #2 spot.
Gravity has been the movie that everyone has been talking about and slipped just a single place this week after taking a further $20.3 million. Captain Phillips also fell a single place to number three.
The Counsellor was the second and final new entry inside the top ten this week as Ridley Scott returned to the director's chair.
Despite a cast list that features Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem, the movie grossed just $8 million. The film had to settle for fourth place.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 was a none mover at five, while Carrier dropped three places from three to six.
Escape Plan was also a three place faller as it ended the weekend at number seven. 12 Years A Slave was the only movie on the up this week as it jumped eight places from sixteen to eight.
The Steve McQueen directed film has been lighting up the festival circuit and has been tipped as a major player at next year's Oscars.
Enough Said fell two places from seven to nine, while Prisoners was down four to round off the top ten.
