Ayo Edebiri is the latest star to be cast in 'After The Hunt'.
The 28-year-old actress has joined Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield in the film that is being directed by Luca Guadagnino.
The movie is an intense thriller about a college professor who finds herself in a personal and professional quandary when a star pupil makes an allegation towards one of her colleagues as it threatens to expose a dark secret from her past.
Guadagnino is helming from a screenplay written by Nora Garrett and is also producing for his Frenesy company with Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer and Allan Mandelbaum.
The movie is due to begin production this summer ahead of a 2025 release.
Ayo plays chef Sydney Adamu in the hit TV series 'The Bear' and explains that she considers her co-star Jeremy Allen White to be like "family" as they have been able to rely on each other for support as the show has grown in popularity.
She told Sunday Times Style magazine: "Jeremy is one of the most grounded, hard-working people I know.
"I would describe my friendship and relationship with him as just a lot of trust and a lot of gratitude. We shot this show without any expectation, and to be on this journey with him, with everybody, it really does feel like a blessing and so I call him family.
"I call the whole cast and crew family because it really feels like a family endeavour."
Ayo won a Golden Globe for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy for her work on 'The Bear' earlier this year and confessed that she was "star struck" around the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg during the celebrations.
She said: "It was hard not to spin my head and be star struck."
