Avengers: Age of Ultron has made it two week as the #1 movie in the UK.
Avengers: Age of Ultron stormed to the top of the box office last week by taking a whopping £18 million in the opening weekend. It has followed up that success by grossing a further £8.5 million to comfortably hold off the competition.
The second Avengers movie is now top of the U.S. and UK box office and has so far grossed in excess of $663 million on less than two weeks on global release. It remains to be see if it will break the $1 billion barrier.
Far From The Madding Crowd was the highest new entry inside the top ten this week as the adaptation of the Thomas Hardy novel opened at two.
The movie marks the return of Carey Mulligan to the big screen - we haven't seen her since Inside Llewyn Davis at the beginning of 2014 - as she takes on the central role of Bathsheba Everdene.
Unfriended was new in at two, while Fast & Furious 7 was down two places this week from two to number four. So far, the movie has grossed over £34 million at the UK box office alone. Home rounded off the top five, as it dropped a single place from last week's number four.
Cinderella fell out of the top five for the first time this week as the live action Disney movie dropped from three to six. Two by Two was the third and final new entry inside the top ten this week as it opened at number seven.
SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water was down one at eight, while Woman In Gold was another three place faller as the Helen Mirren film was down from six to nine.
Child 44 - which is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Tom Rob Smith - was down two from eight to number ten.
