Assassin's Creed is already one of the most talked about movies of 2016 as the popular computer game is set to come to the big screen for the first time.
Michael Fassbender is set to lead the cast as he takes on the central role of Callum Lynch. Ever since the Oscar-nominated actor got involved in the project, it has been a film that I have been looking forward to.
The brand new trailer for the film has arrived and we have it for you to take a look at:
Assassin's Creed sees Fassbender reunite with Macbeth filmmaker Justin Kurzel, for what is their second film together.
The movie also sees Fassbender reunite with his Macbeth co-star Marion Cotillard while Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Michael Kenneth Williams, Callum Turner and Brian Gleeson complete an impressive cast list.
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain.
Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
Computer game movies have been a mixed bag when it comes to success but Assassin's Creed looks set to be a huge hit when it is released at the end of the year.
Fassbender is one our favourite actors here at FemaleFirst and I really cannot wait to see him in action in this leading role.
Assassin's Creed is released December 2016.
