Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher has admitted that the thought of playing Steve Jobs was a 'terrifying' prospect.

The actor is set to play the co-founder of Apple in new movie Jobs - a biopic following him from being a college drop-out to one of the greatest creative entrepreneurs.

Speaking to The Verge the actor said: "It terrified me, and most of the great things I've been able to accomplish in my life were things that terrified me.

"I almost felt compelled to defensively play the role. I want to make sure it's protected. Even if I screw it up and totally bomb it, I love that guy.

"I love that guy. I'd rather have someone that cared about him screw it up than someone who didn't."

Joshua Michael Stern is in the director's chair for the film, in what is his first movie project since Swing Vote back in 2008.

It's also a while since we have seen Kutcher on the big screen; his last movie outing came in comedy New Year's Eve.

Since then he has been concentrating on his TV work, taking over the central role in Two and a Half Men.
