Anthony Mackie has revealed he was upset that there was no spandex in his costume for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Mackie will be returning to the big screen at the end of the month, as we are introduced to the character of Falcon for the first time.
And the actor admits that the first thing he thought of when he landed the role, was that he would get the chance to wear Spandex.
Speaking to SFX magazine, the actor said; "When I got the call, and they told me I was gonna be on this movie, I was so excited because I was like 'I'm gonna get to work and wear spandex and all the women are going to be like 'Oh my god, look at his body in spandex!'' "
However, Mackie would be disappointed when he saw what his costume was made of: "I was like 'no spandex?' I was highly upset. I wear spandex under my costume just so I can feel like a superhero."
Mackie is one of the new faces on the Captain America: The Winter Soldier cast list, as he stars alongside Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson.
Mackie has also been linked to Avengers: Age of Ultron, but it is yet to be confirmed that we will be seeing Falcon in the film.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is released 26th March.
