Anthony Mackie wanted to punch Tom Holland in the face in 'Captain America: Civil War'.
The 37-year-old actor reprises his role as Falcon in the superhero film and has admitted he was very keen to battle with newcomer Holland's Spider-Man and Paul Bettany, who plays Vision.
Speaking at the European premiere of 'Captain America: Civil War' at the Westfield Centre in London's Shepherd's Bush on Tuesday (26.04.16), he said: "This movie was different because there was like five or six people I wanted to punch in the face like Paul Bettany Tom Holland. Those are the guys I wanted to hit!"
The 'Notorious' star - who made his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' in 2014 - insists the film will entirely change viewers perception of the iconic superheroes as the Avengers break apart and go to war.
And Mackie insists the first introduction of Spider-Man to the MCU is a big moment in cinema.
He said: "To be honest the best thing about this movie is a re-introduction to the characters you love. You get to know them in a new light and a new way."
And Anthony believes the latest addition to the franchise has set the foundation for future Marvel movies to go off in new directions.
He explained: "I fell like this movie is a jumping off point for the next phase of Marvel. If you knew a character before, in this movie you will be surprised."
Mackie was joined at the premiere by his co-stars from the film, including Tom, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Paul Rudd and Jeremy Renner.
