Anthony Mackie looks set to play Jimi Hendrix in new biopic Jimi.
Jimi - which was originally called Crosstown Traffic - is set to follow the last nine days of Hendrix's life, and will see Ol Parker in the director's chair.
This will be the third feature film for Parker, with Now Is Good and Imagine Me & You already under his belt.
Parker penned the screenplays for The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and the sequel, and will write the script for the Hendrix biopic.
Thandie Newton is also on board, while Noomi Rapace has also been linked to a role in the film.
Another Hendrix project is set to hit the big screen this year, as Andre Benjamin will play the iconic musician in All Is By My Side.
Mackie is currently flying high in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where we were introduced to the character of Falcon for the first time.
The movie has topped the box office in the U.S. and UK and has just broken through the $700 million barrier worldwide.
Mackie has also completed wok on A Many Splintered Thing and Shelter.
