Anne Hathaway is to star in and produce new sci-fi comedy 'The Shower'.
Hathaway, who last year appeared in the Christopher Nolan-directed 'Interstellar', is to to play a crucial creative role in the female-led comedy, which has been written and will be produced by Jac Schaeffer.
She said: "[Schaeffer] has written an awesome sci-fi comedy centred around funny, fully dimensional female characters.
"I feel so lucky to be a part of the team that will bring her enormously talented and fresh voice to the big screen."
The movie's plot sees men turned into bloodthirsty aliens following a series of meteor showers, which means women have to try to save the world.
Starring alongside Anne in the movie is her husband husband Adam Shulman, as well as Andrew Lauren and DJ Gugenheim.
'The Shower' featured on last year's black list, which recognises the best movies that are yet to be turned into screenplays.
Before 'The Shower' hits cinema screens, the award-winning actress can be seen alongside Robert De Niro in new comedy movie 'The Intern', which opens next month.
