Anna Kendrick says he is looking forward to moving away from musical films, having worked on a string of projects where she has had to sing.
Kendrick showed off her singing voice in comedy Pitch Perfect - a role she is set to reprise in the upcoming sequel.
Since then she has worked on two other musical projects, and she wants to take a break from singing on screen.
Speaking to The Wrap, the actress said: "I never want to sing again, honestly. It's hard as f**k.
"The Pitch Perfect [sequel] is going to be fine, ten girls have to be able to sing the songs so it's going to be fine, but doing The Last Five Years and then Into the Woods straight away, I was like, I don't want to have to think about my voice so much.
"I want to be able to drink beer whenever I want."
The Last Five Years and Into The Woods will both be hitting the big screen over the next twelve months the latter bringing together a fantastic cast.
Rob Marshall is in the director's chair, while Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep, Emma Blunt and Chris Pine are just some of the names on board.
Kendrick is set to take on the role of Cinderella in the new film.
She is also about to start work on Pitch Perfect, which will see her reunite with Rebel Wilson.
